What are Zipper Cream Peas? They are members of the cow pea family- same as black eyed peas. Zipper cream peas are milder and sweeter than black eyed peas.
Ingredients
1 bag Zipper Cream Peas, keep frozen
1/2 onion, diced
1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic, mined
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
Cook salt pork and onions in olive oil in large pot
Add frozen peas and combine
Cover with broth and water, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer
Cook 30 minutes until tender and delicious
